Donna Llamas' Obituary
Donna Llamas, born on April 29, 1949, in Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025, after a courageous and lengthy battle with lupus.
Donna was a woman of many passions and talents. She found solace and joy in the worlds of literature and music, spending countless hours immersed in the pages of books and the melodies of her favorite songs. Her love for music led her to sing, sharing her voice and spirit with those around her.
A lifelong advocate for civil rights and women's rights, Donna believed in justice and equality for all. Her commitment to these principles was evident in her actions and words throughout her life.
Professionally, Donna dedicated herself to the field of nursing, where she became a compassionate and fierce advocate for her patients. Her last position in Radiation Oncology at University Medical Center in Tucson allowed her to provide comfort and care to those facing challenging medical circumstances.
Beyond her professional life, Donna expressed her creativity through jewelry making and poetry. Her handcrafted pieces and heartfelt verses reflected her unique perspective and artistic spirit.
Donna is survived by her loving husband, Frank, and a large, devoted family of loved ones spread across the country. Her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held in Donna’s honor on March 7th at 2:00 PM, at Evergreen on Oracle in Tucson, Arizona.
