Our open-hearted and vibrant mom, Doris Coris, 84, passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2025--still in the prime of her life. She died just days after her last Pilates class and hours after talking with both of her daughters, Read Obituary
I am very saddened to hear about Doris’s passing. Although it has been almost seven years since I last saw her radiant smile at the TMC lobby, I do hold very fond memories of her and her husband, Len. Doris was my “host mother” and the “mother” of many other music students at the University of Arizona School of Music. She would attend our concerts and also make sure to invite us at her house regularly, feed us delicious home-cooked meal, and fill our hearts with joy and wisdom. I am thankful for her warmth and big heart.
Dear Lisa, Doris's entire family, Lauren, and Doris's entire circle of friends,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know it hurts deeply. I met Doris only a few times, and yet strongly felt her warmth, generosity, and light. May she now be delighting in reunion with her beloved Len, other family members and friends who transitioned before her, and with Love itself. And may her memory always be a blessing to you and our community, as her life was.

As Lennie's first cousin, I have many fond memories of Doris, beginning with their wedding at the MIT chapel. We've shared many happy times through the years, especially when they lived in our town of Wayland and again when we visited in Tuscon. Doris was the glue that kept all the first cousins (on Lennie's mother's side) in the know about goings on in the family. Michael and I will miss her.
The heart grieves for what it has lost; the spirit rejoices for what it has had. Our deepest condolences to her daughters and their families.
