Dorothy Ann Krohn's Obituary
Dorothy Ann Whitehead Krohn entered into eternal life with her Lord Jesus Christ on February 8, 2016, one month after her 81st birthday. She was born at the Stork’s Nest in Tucson as the first child of Charles and Dorothy Whitehead, with whom she is now reunited. She grew up in Tucson with brother George (Kay) Whitehead and sisters Clarlyn (Dan) Elder and Carol (George) Peabody. She graduated from Amphitheater High School and went on to marry John M. Krohn on August 17, 1951, who predeceased her on July 27, 1991. She was the loving mother of five sons: John, Ken, Larry (Mary), James (Lori), and youngest son Gerald Scot, who predeceased her on May 21, 1982. She was a loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, as well as den mother to a host of cousins, nieces and nephews throughout the years. She worked as Controller for Lloyd Construction for many years, and moved to Oceanside, California, upon her retirement in 2001. After an extended battle with Alzheimer’s, she moved to Prescott Valley in August 2015 to spend her final days in Arizona. Her graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016, 11:00 am, at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in her name to the Gospel Rescue Mission, 707 W. Miracle Mile, Tucson, AZ 85705, or the charity of your choice.
