Dorothy Solomon Sayre's Obituary
Sayre, Dorothy 90, of Tucson, AZ, died peacefully on June 30, 2018. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Julian of 54 years and her oldest son Lawrence. Survived by her son Steven (Diane), daughter-in-law Marti, and 4 grandchildren: Zachary (Bonnie), Carolyn, Andrew (Cara), and Eric, and 4 great grandchildren: Lily, Stella, Nathan, and Noah. Dorothy taught pre-k and kindergarten, was an active volunteer in the Tucson Jewish community, chaired the Amphitheatre School district’s Headstart program, and was highly recognized for her dedication to volunteer work in Tucson. Services were held on Monday, July 2, at Temple Emanu-el.
