Duane Henry Titus' Obituary
Duane Henry Titus passed away unexpectedly on March 25, 2019 at the age of 95. He was born to Harland Titus and Mildred Tampkins on November 14, 1923 in Binghamton, New York. Duane worked for the International Business Machines Corporation, also known as IBM, as an engineer. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He then retired from IBM in 1984 and moved to Tucson, Arizona.
Duane found much happiness in contributing to and attending his local church. Through finding his faith, Duane was able to find the joy in his life. However, most of his joy came from his wife of 70 years, Martha. Their immense love for each other was undeniable, even towards the end of his life. Duane truly cared for Martha through sickness and health, even if he had to sacrifice for her comfort. They would often profess their illimitable love for each other, telling each other how they sincerely loved one another from the bottom of their hearts.
Duane is survived by his sister, Sandra (Roger), 3 grandchildren, Steven (Jennifer), Mary (Warren) and Paul, as well as 2 great grandchildren, Sophia and Sierra. He is predeceased by his children, Lynn and Richard, and his brother, Harland. Duane’s funeral will be held at Evergreen Mortuary & Cemetery at 3015 N Oracle Rd on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019 at 1:00 pm. The reception will take place afterwards; details to be announced at the funeral.
