Earl Charles Oberdick's Obituary
Earl Charles Oberdick, 91, of Tucson, AZ, passed away peacefully at his home on January 13, 2022. He was born March 12, 1930 in Akron, OH. He was a proud man who enjoyed a good story and joke and loved to make people laugh. Earl had a deep affection for his pet dogs and had called Tucson his home since the early 1990s to escape the cold and snow.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Charles and Sara Jane (Stripe), and his wife of 61 years, Anna Marie (Burd). Also preceding him were his siblings, George, Dorothy Waid, and Margery Pishney, as well as grandson, Austin Oberly.
Survivors include his children, Alice (C. Jeffery) Lutz of Grove City, OH, Loretta (Thomas) Napoletano of Kent, OH, Larry (Jo Linda) Oberly of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Brenda (Richard) Striebel of O’Fallon, MO. Also surviving are grandchildren Michelle (Scott) Merchant (OH), Steven (Lisa) Napoletano (OH), Andrea (Jeffery) Smith (NC), Ryan Brich (MO) and Andrew Oberly (CO). Great grandchildren surviving include Hannah Smith and Jacob Merchant. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Burial will take place at the Cherry Valley Cemetery, Cherry Valley, OH, at a later date.
