Edward Dalton Davis' Obituary
Edward Dalton Davis Sr. Born October 5, 1936, passed away peacefully in his home in Tucson, AZ on February 3, 2014. He has been reunited in heaven with his soul-mate and wife of 50 years, Darlene Laquana Davis. The youngest of nine children, Ed was preceded in death by siblings Eva Duncan, D.T. Davis, John Davis, Bill Davis, Jim Davis, Betty Adams, and David Davis. He is survived by sister Marvine Darra, his five children Rebecca D. Davis, Marion (Mary) Davis, Edward (Eddie) D. Davis Jr. (wife Kathryn), David W. Davis (wife Laura), and Evette L. Hanson (husband David), ten grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. With a strong work ethic, Ed retired from Hicks Lumber Company in Salinas, CA as a Foreman. He was a talented craftsman, passionate about working with wood and creating toys that were enjoyed by children and adults alike. He was a man of pride who was respected by all who were blessed to know him. He loved to help others and was always there for anyone who needed him, whether family or stranger. Ed's kindness, strong character, and love for his family made the world a better place and will never be forgotten. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th at Evergreen Mortuary between 4:00-8:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at Evergreen on Saturday, February 8th at 1:00 pm.
