Arthur C Lind
I was in the US Army with Ed and I spent six months with him at the 1957 atmospheric atomic bomb tests in the Nevada desert. He had a 1949 Pontiac that he bought with fellow GI, John Anderson from Chicago, as I am. That car was our only way to get to and from Las Vegas. Las Vegas at that time was very small and inexpensive if you didn't gamble; a first class dinner and show cost about $5. During that summer the high heat and the low cost second hand tires that Ed and John bought caused many blow-outs, I communicated with Ed via email a few times in 1994; his email address then was KWGB6A on Prodigy. Just today I thought about contacting Ed again and discovered his recent passing. I am very sad and I give my condolences to Ed's family.
