Edwin S. Joseph's Obituary
Edwin Joseph, 88, died in Tucson, Arizona on April 13, 2017. Born in 1929 to Harry and Anne Joseph, Ed grew up on the north side of Chicago, graduated from Roosevelt High School, attended Roosevelt College and the General Motors school. He spent most of his career at Berns Air King and its successor. Ed's wife of more than 60 years, Elaine, passed away in 2016. Their children, Karen (Michael), Gail, and Mark (Patty), survive him. He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Sara, Allison (Ignacio), Andrew (Kate), Emily, Danny, Adam, and great-grandchildren, Arlo and Mila. He treasured lifelong bonds with cousins, friends, and neighbors. Ed was a craftsman. He always enjoyed working with his hands, and shared that passion with others. His wooden toys, photographs, sculpture, and projects of all kinds continue his legacy. A private service has been held at Sha'arei Shalom Cemetery in Tucson, with plans forthcoming for a future gathering of family and friends in the Chicago area. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the Alzheimers Association or the Lincoln Park Zoo
