Elmo Lee Matthews' Obituary
Matthews, Elmo Lee went home to be with the Lord on June 7, 2016 at age 81, in his home in Tucson. He is survived by his daughters Carol Jean (Paul) Beneux, Lynn Marie Owens, and his son Gary Lee (Tonja) Matthews; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Sharon (Potts) Matthews, and his second wife Naoma Al (Coones) Matthews; his brothers Clyde Matthews, Sidney Matthews, and Dale Matthews; his sisters Vivian (Matthews) Hackl and Alice Jane (Matthews) (Guger) Leslie.
Elmo was a wonderful and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is a former member of the Arizona Rangers and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).
There will be a viewing Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. with a celebratory service to follow at 9:30 at Evergreen Cemetery, 3015 North Oracle Road, Tucson, Arizona 85705.
