Elvia A. Felix's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Elvia Felix
1947 – 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Elvia Felix, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and compassionate friend to many, who left this world on July 18, 2025, surrounded by love.
Elvia Alvarez Felix was born on 10 October 1947 in San Rafael Valley, Lochiel, Arizona to Leopoldo and Consuelo Alvarez, the sixth of eight children. She lived her entire life in Tucson and was a graduate of Tucson High School in 1965.
She shared her life with her devoted husband of 56 years, Reginaldo A. Felix, whose love and support matched her own generous spirit. As her health declined, he became an amazing caregiver and never left her side. A mother to Reggie (Olga) Felix and grandmother of Emma Victoria, Liliana Elise, Benjamin Adan Felix and Pebbles, she poured her heart into her family, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and care.
Elvia was preceded in death by her parents Leopoldo and Consuelo Alvarez. Siblings Delia (Gene) Martinez, Consuelo (Alejandro) Zuniga, Trini (Edna) Alvarez, Luis (Ruth) Alvarez and Cristina (David) Kurz.
Surviving siblings include Socorro (Jorge) Gamez and Domingo (Joy) Alvarez.
Elvia worked for Chase Bank (Valley National, Bank One) for 36 years. She was known for helping others—always ready to lend a hand, offer kind words, or simply be present when someone needed it most. She had an extraordinary gift for caring. Whether it was a phone call to check in, a meal prepared with love, or a gentle word at just the right time, she made everyone feel seen and valued. Her kindness extended far beyond family—she touched the lives of countless people and left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
To know her was to feel cared for, and her absence leaves a deep ache in our hearts. Her legacy lives on in the lives she uplifted, the love she gave freely, and the memories we will treasure forever.
She will be missed more than words can express, but her spirit, love and lessons will continue to guide us every day.
A funeral service will be held on Friday August 8, 2025, 10:00 am at Holy Hope Cemetery. 3555 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor her memory by checking in on someone, lending a hand, or simply showing kindness—just as she always did.
Rest in peace, Elvia. You took care of all of us, and now we carry your love and compassion forward.
