Esther S. Vallejo's Obituary
Esther S. Vallejo, age 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 with her family by her side. She was born in Metcalf, Arizona on March 23, 1938 to Eleodoro and Marianna Saenz. Esther is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Joseph “Oscar” Vallejo. She is survived by her children; Daniel (Teresa) Vallejo, Arlene (Lance) Nehls, Steven (Rachel) Vallejo, grandchildren; Shanelle (Ron Molera) Vallejo, Aleksa Brown, Eric (Paola) Vallejo, Daniel (Nia) Vallejo, Avianna (Julian) Soza, Logan Nehls, Lacey (Isaak) Matzdorff, Joseph Vallejo, Rose Vallejo, James Vallejo, John Vallejo, great-grandchildren; Marcos Vallejo, Marianna Vallejo, Dominic Vallejo, Layla Soza, Lilianna Soza, Nathaniel Vallejo, Leah Soza, Lena Soza, and her surviving siblings; Tony Saenz, Amelia Rodriguez, Ernest Saenz, and Barbara Sanchez.
Esther grew up in Morenci, Arizona and graduated from Morenci High School in 1956. She married her high school sweetheart, Joseph Oscar Vallejo, on November 29, 1957. Esther was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and sister. Esther will forever be remembered by her beauty, grace, wits, charm, and elegance. She was adored by many, and highly valued her relationships with both her friends and family. She instilled leadership qualities in all of her children, as well as her grandchildren, and always encouraged strength, integrity, and independence. She was an amazing woman and will be greatly missed by all.
Rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m followed by a funeral service on Friday, November 15th at Saint Odilia Catholic Church, 7570 N. Paseo Del Norte, Tucson, AZ at 10:30 a.m.
