Evelyn Ruth Heath's Obituary
Evelyn Ruth Heath passed away peacefully on January 16, 2018. Evie was born on May 2, 1932 to Thomas & Kate Wiebenga in Fulton, Ill.
A celebration of life is planned at the Heath graveside, Evergreen Cemetery, Tucson, AZ on February 5, 2018 @ 11:00 AM.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life Elmer Louis (Lou) Heath, daughter Christine Heath-Crayne and her brothers Claus (Bud), Benton (Ben) and Bruce Wiebenga.
She is survived by her son Randy (Deborah), Susie (Skip), Cindy (Tony) and Debbie and is blessed with 9 grand children, 11 ½ (one in the oven) great grand children and her brothers Thomas, Ray, Albert, Phillip Wiebenga and sister Kathy Wilden.
Evie was active beyond her years, loved to tell her stories and always managed to get hugs from strangers! She tried for at least 13 hugs per day (Lou’s birth date & her LUCKY number); on days when she got more she felt exceptionally blessed.
Evie carried this poem with her and we wanted to share it with you:
WE THOUGHT OF YOU TODAY
We thought of you with love today.
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories.
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our heart..
