Evelyn Bernice Sticht's Obituary
Evelyn Bernice Geiger Sticht 95, quietly departed our loving earth on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Evelyn was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 8, 1919 to Sallie Mae Roark and Oscar Geiger. Once schooled she moved to Los Angeles where she met and married George, the love of her life. From Los Angeles, Evelyn, George, and their growing family moved to Arizona residing in Douglas, Benson, Willcox, Phoenix, and finally Tucson. She retired from Tucson Medical Center having worked as a nursing assistant. Evelyn loved cooking, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles and solitaire. She was preceded in death by her parents Sallie Mae Roark and Oscar Geiger, her siblings Mattie M. Bishop, Eugene Bishop, Regina Adeline Geiger, Everton Merrell Geiger, Lester Edwin Geiger, Leroy Harris Geiger, Adeline Miriam Geiger, Virginia Marcella Geiger, Dallas Elbert Geiger (not inclusive), her loving husband George Sticht Sr. whom she has now joined in eternal life. Also preceding her in death is one great grandson, Benjamin Avery Sticht. Evelyn is succeeded by sister Viola Geiger Keller, children: Brian George Sticht, Michael Joseph Sticht, Kathleen Sticht Waldrop, George Sticht, Jr., David Mathew Sticht, and Thomas Allan Sticht; grandchildren: Kim Oliva, Eddi Marks, Julie Keele, Alan Sticht, Lorna Sowards, Gary Sticht, Wade Sticht, Carl Sticht, James Sticht, Nathan Waldrop, and Ashley Waldrop Stapleton; great grandchildren: Christopher Oliva, Jeffrey Oliva, Aaron Marks, Patrick Marks, Jennifer Keele Ballard, William Keele, Mark Keele, Samantha Keele, Joshua Keele, Stephanie Sticht, Katie Sticht, Melanie Sticht, Aaron Sticht, Roxanne Sticht, Lindsey Sowards Nielson, Heather Sowards Norton, Emily Sowards, Tara Sowards, Evan Sowards, Anna Sticht, Lucy Sticht, Spencer Sticht, Henry Sticht, Simon Sticht, Gracie Sticht, Hallie Sticht, Jack Sticht, Maximus Sticht, Maggie Sticht, Kaylin Stapleton, Carter Stapleton; and great great-grandchild: Gabriel Norton;1 sister and numerous nieces and nephews. Loved and cherished by all, she will be greatly missed. Visitation at Evergreen Mortuary will be Wednesday April 29, 2015 from 5 – 8 p.m. Celebration of Evelyn’s life will be Thursday April 30, 2015 at 10:00 at Evergreen Mortuary Chapel, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile; reception immediately following.
