Florence M. Lazar's Obituary
Age 92, resident of Tucson, died July 2, 2015. Mrs. Lazar was born in Jersey City, NJ and has been a resident since she moved to Tucson with her husband, a retired dentist in 1978. She was a loving, caring and nurturing mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She leaves her devoted children, Barbara Selwyn of Tucson and Stephen (Jan) Lazar of MI; Florence was the doting grandmother of Zachary (Wendy) Selwyn, Amanda (Adam) Barker, Jesse Selwyn, Molly Lazar and Meredith (Ryan) Lazar-Meeder and great grandmother of Ryzer, Southerly, Townsend, Dominika, Bronwyn and Hadley. She leaves a sister, Sydell Kopf of MD. Mrs. Lazar was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Mark A. Lazar on October 10, 2000. Her sharp humor and quick wit will be greatly missed by her family and those who knew her. In words spoken by Florence, the original NJ lady - “That’s all!” A Service will be held 10 AM Sunday, July 5, 2015 at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile. Burial will follow in the Congregation Anshei Israel section of EVERGREEN CEMETERY. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer Association of So. Arizona, 1159 N. Craycroft Road, Tucson, AZ 85712 or the Humane Society of So. Arizona, 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85716.
