Floyd Arthur Hyatt's Obituary
Floyd Arthur Hyatt age 81, passed away peacefully in Fountain Hills, AZ on Thursday, February 3, 2005, his body finally yielding to the throes of Diabetes.
He was the beloved husband of Helen Madeline Hyatt, loving father of four children, Floyd Allen, Christine, John, and William Hyatt.
Floyd was the only child of Floyd and Maybelle Hyatt and grew up in Michigan. Floyd deeply loved and respected his parents. He was a talkative and intelligent person, became fascinated with photography at an early age and frequently took pictures and recorded videos of family, friends, and travels. He and Helen were childhood friends, and they secretly eloped in1948. But were also formally married in a Catholic Church. Shortly after the birth of their 2nd child, Helen and Floyd moved to Tucson, AZ. Floyd's father and mother were generous people, providing Helen and Floyd's family with financial support whenever possible.
Floyd attended University of Arizona, studied Geology and Mechanical Engineering, had a part-time job as an Arizona Deputy Sheriff Jr in Tucson, AZ. He loved birds and raised a brood of parakeets, was a Boy Scout Group leader, enjoyed taking the family on road trips, was a collector of guns and loved to practice shooting. He and Helen liked socializing, playing cards, and hanging out with friends. Around 1960, jobs were scarce in Tucson, so the family moved back to Michigan, and he tried his hand at running a Shell Gas Station but eventually gained employment as a Mechanical draftsperson at EXCELO Corp, where he helped design the machine that produced Milk cartons. In the early 1970's after 3 of their 4 children had finished High School, Floyd, Helen and youngest sons moved back to Arizona. Floyd contracted with job agencies, worked at various companies in Arizona before retiring and settling in Fountain Hills, AZ.
At the time of death Floyd was survived by his wife, his sons, his daughter, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
