Francine A. Shafton's Obituary
Age 88, a 55 year resident of Tucson, died September 24, 2015. She was born in Chicago, IL. Francine had a long, illustrious counseling career with Tucson Child Guidance Clinic and TUSD. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Morton J. Shafton on December 3, 2012 and a daughter, Judith Shafton on April 3, 2002. She leaves her daughters, Janet Bronitsky (Mark Suprenand) of Denver and Phyllis (Barry) Katz of Aromas, CA. Francine was the proud grandmother of Hannah Kaplan, Gideon Kaplan, Micah (Erica) Bronitsky, Josh (Jamie) Bronitsky, Julia Katz and Brad Katz. She cherished her four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM, Sunday, September 27, 2015 at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N Oracle & W Miracle Mile. Burial will follow in the Temple Emanu-El section of Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Jewish Family & Children’s Services or Temple Emanu-El. The arrangements are by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY.
