Francisco Javier Medina's Obituary
The community mourns the passing of Francisco Medina, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Francisco, a native of Tucson, passed away peacefully on February 14th, 2024. He was 76 years old.
Francisco proudly served his country in the United States Army, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. He returned home with a deep sense of patriotism and a dedication to his community.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. Francisco was a devoted husband to his wife, Maria Avitia, for [number] years. Together, they built a beautiful life, filled with laughter and cherished memories. He was a proud father to Frank J. Avitia and his wife, Michelle E. Avitia. He cherished his role as grandfather to his four grandchildren, Alexandra M. Avitia, Matthew W.F. Avitia, Tirzah A. Avitia, and Judah C. Avitia. They will forever remember his playful spirit, and unwavering support.
Francisco was a loving brother to (Betty) Maria Beatrice (Medina) Camacho and her husband, José M. Camacho. He was a proud uncle to his niece, Eleni A. Camacho, and nephew, Emilio D. Camacho. He was also a cherished brother to Paul E. Medina. He will be deeply missed by all his extended family and friends.
A public visitation is to be held Thursday February 22, 2024 beginning at 1PM with service to follow at 4PM.
