Franklin H. Lee's Obituary
Franklin H. Lee, 89, of Tucson, AZ, passed away on July 9, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Nin Lee; mother, Hom Ngan Oy; brother, Ben; sister, Lissette Loy; and brother, Howard. He is survived by his brothers, Bobby [Deborah], Victor [Janet], Edward [Shirley], sister-in-laws Jade, and Karen, along with 12 nieces and nephews, and 13 grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Born in Tucson, Arizona, in 1934, Franklin was an Army Veteran and alumni of the University of Arizona. He worked in the family grocery store, then as a mechanical engineer for Lawrence Livermore Labs in California. After returning to Tucson to be near to his family, he had an acupressure practice before eventually taking on the role of full-time caregiver to his mom and dad. He dedicated much of his life to his parents and family, often babysitting his nieces and nephews after school. He was known for his apple cake, Chinese sponge cake, Cantonese steamed fish, and chow-fun noodles. His hobbies included fishing, bowling, gardening, and volunteering in the kitchen at the Tucson Chinese Cultural Center. Franklin was a loving and dedicated son, brother, uncle, grand-uncle, and friend. He was loved by many, and will be missed.
There will be a visitation at Evergreen Mortuary, on Friday, August 9, from 6:30pm-8pm.
