Franklin D. Nixon's Obituary
Franklin Delano Nixon was born on January 30, 1942 in Floydada, Texas. He passed away May 5th, 2017 at home in Tucson, Arizona.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents Leslie Lloyd Nixon and Velma Jameson Nixon. He is survived by his wife Yolonda Nixon, son Leslie A. Nixon, step-children Jalel Levy, Michael Haden & Michelle Haden. Frank is the loving grandpa to Christopher Mireles, Logen Haden Diaz, Niko Scholz and Connor Haden Diaz.
Frank was also surrounded by his loving siblings Leslie Lloyd Nixon Jr, Fred Allen Nixon, William Lowell Nixon, Dee Loran Nixon, Joy Ann McCulloch and Mary Lynn Harbin.
Frank is a graduate of Texas Tech University where he obtained his Master’s Degree in Engineering Physics.
Frank retired from The Boeing Aircraft Company in 2005 after a 40-year career in aerospace. Frank will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Tucson on Tuesday, May 9th at 2:00 pm.
