Freada Mae Knight's Obituary
Freada Mae Knight
Born November 17, 1925 in Wilmington, Ohio to Zeph and Cora (Bower) Flint.
She passed away peacefully July 11, 2017 and is survived by her three children Jackie (Tom) Hosack, David (Kathy) Knight and Reid (Diedre) Knight.
Cherished Grandmother to Jim (Hope) Hosack, Tina (Chris) Linder, Brian Knight, Daniel Knight, Bryan (Dawn) Hosack, Andrew (Kait) Knight, Heather (Chris) Whiteley, Kristina (Josh) Failing, Chelsea (Chris) Norden.
Amazing Great-Grandmother to Cameo (John), Josh, Britney, Ciara, Ashton, Luke, Ethan, Cameron, Sam and Carsen.
Wonderful Great-Great-Grandma to Seamus, Hailey and Conner.
Over her 91 years she attended college, worked at Wright Patterson AFB, she helped her husband start the Knight foundry, was a dog groomer, had a home interiors business, took piano lessons, learned Spanish and drove a school bus for Amphitheater school district.
She was an incredibly self-sufficient & independent woman who in her younger days had a passion for horses, fishing, waterskiing, and snow skiing. Her love of sewing spanned her life with the skills to not only clothe herself but also all the kids in the family, despite the grumbling from the boys. As she entered her golden years, her love of sewing turned into a passion for quilting. She had a heart of gold and enjoyed making beautiful quilts to donate to the local hospitals.
Freda also loved to cook, passing down her famous homemade noodle recipe to those who were brave enough to not stir the noodles, ‘just let them be’ she would say.
Her loss has been felt by many, however we take comfort in the fact that she will live on in all those who have been touched by the love, strength, wisdom and beauty of her soul.
