Fred Moss' Obituary
Fred D. Moss- 90 of Tucson, Arizona passed away April 23, 2017.
Born November 16, 1926 in New York. Survived by wife of 63 years Debora,
daughter Andrea, son Kenneth, grandson Konrad, granddaughter Margo, and
brother Jerry.
Fred lived in California from 1970-1990, and moved to Tucson in December,
1990. He lived in Sun City Vistoso where he participated in tennis, swimming and other clubs until December, 2014, and moved to Splendido at that time, where he made many new friends.
He was in the U.S. Navy in 1945-1946, and served aboard the USS Rall (DE
304). He graduated from New York University in 1949, with a degree in
accounting. Spent 40 years in the retail field as a buyer and merchandise
manager, with small stores including 9 branches, to a conglomerate of stores
with 3521 branches. He was also a model, appearing in brochures, magazines,
as well as a large sign on a popular Arizona freeway.
For many years, Fred volunteered at the Food Bank in Catalina, Northwest
Hospital, and Interfaith Community Services. There are no services planned,
and donations may be made in his name to Southern Arizona Humane Society,
Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, and Disabled Veterans.
