Gail Sue Freedman's Obituary
Gail Sue Freedman, age 57, born November 23, 1958 in Chicago, IL, passed away July 11, 2016 after a hard fought battle with cancer. She is a loving mother to her daughter, Sunyata Shanks (husband Christopher); grandmother to Angelina Faithe Lytle and Christopher Mason Shanks; daughter of Myron Freedman; and sister to Renee Freedman. Gail moved from Chicago to Tucson in 1973, completed high school at Saguaro High School before attending Pima Community College. Gail was a former General Manager of Coco’s, an avid practitioner of astrology, an artist, and a spiritual advisor. She loved to travel, dine out at delicious restaurants, cook, spend time in nature and hang out with her many friends. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 14, 2016 in the Congregation Anshei Israel Section of Evergreen Cemetery, N. Oracle and W. Miracle Mile. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the woman’s shelter of your choice, Lungevity, or the Rare Genome Institute.
