I really miss George and think about him often. My deepest sympathies to Jaimie, Ian and Scott. He was such a great guy and dedicated to his art and painting. He took art classes from me and was always interested in learning and improving his work. I have Thursday night modeling sessions at my studio and George was always eager to join and draw and paint from the model every week. When covid hit we suspended Thursday night sessions for a while. When we got vaccinated and started back up wearing masks I called George to let him know and he said he couldn't start back because he had not been vaccinated yet. I really respected him for that. As soon as he got vaccinated he called me and asked if he could join in again. He started up again and it was so good to have him back in the group. This was just before he passed. Everybody misses him and all were sorry to hear of his passing. I was planning a future painting trip to Monhegan Island and we had talked about painting together in that area. He was such a gentleman and it was an honor to have known him.

Jaimie, Ian, Scott and family. We are so sorry to hear of Uncle George's passing. We enjoyed the family visits we could get when business trips brought Uncle George to Minnesota. One of his favorite hotels was in the western suburbs which was only 30 minutes from John and Patricia's (brother-in-law and sister) home. John and Patricia loved having him over for a home cooked meal and conversation & catching up on the family, pets, and his travels.

It was Uncle George's recollection of the pink flamingos his parents had in the front yard in Eveleth that sealed Patricia's fate for her 70th birthday in August, 2000. The pink flamingo's live on in the hearts of John and Patricia's children and grandchildren.

After I met Jaimie I met George. He always made me feel comfortable and interested in my life. He enjoyed sharing his interests especially his food recipes.

George was one of my most favorite people. I met him when he married Jaimie.

He has been an inspiration to me, watching him set his mind to something and then do it.

When he decided to build a canoe, I was blown away at what a craftsman he was.

George taught me life is filled with so many interests. Explore my interests and just try it out and see how it feels. If it feels good, do it.

I will miss this man.

What a contribution he made to the world.

I met George at my first ever RV rally in Lancaster, California in 2003. He and I became friends and met up in many unique and interesting places (the Slabs, Yellow Creek campground, Big Bend National Park to name a few) during our individual RV traveling lives. I have fun memories of playing cribbage and enjoying hikes together. He “sold” me on having my own New Horizen 5th wheel built, a trailer I dearly loved. He was a wonderful man with great integrity.

Megan and I have known George Bruzenak since 2007 when he married our long-time friend and RoadTripAmerica.com contributor Jaimie Hall.

Photographs captured by George for dozens of articles and RTA road trip attractions have been published and continue to inform and delight visitors to the RTA website. George frequently beta tested products provide to RTA by RV equipment manufacturers. In fact, the very first such product review he wrote dates from February 2007. His review of the Hose Buddy is one of the most detailed and useful product reviews on the RTA site.

Several times in the last few years we’ve shared a meal with George in Las Vegas when he and Jaimie was here on business or to see friends. He was also a frequent and appreciated reader of novels we published through Imbrifex Books. We always looked forward to his visits to Las Vegas and will always remember his warmth and wit.

We will miss George and extend our deepest condolences to Jaimie and to his sons and their families.

George was a great brother-in-law and friend. Mike and I enjoyed all the times we shared with him throughout the 14 years we knew him. Mike and George shared a love of golf and chardonnay. We had the greatest times together on trips to Antarctica, Maine, New Hampshire to name a few. He even made our trips to Laughlin for an annual golf tournament fun! He enjoyed Mike's four brother's as much as they enjoyed him!
We also enjoyed many holidays with George and Jaimie and being together in Coronado was always so relaxing and fun.
George lived life to the fullest with his many interests. He was so motivated and successful in all he did. We still have the video of his canoe making step by step. His watercolors and oils showed his artistic talent for painting and I personally loved the one he did of himself as Van Gogh !!!!! I know he was a great dad too with his smile and sense of humor. He raised two caring, wonderful boys and he mentioned more than once how proud he was of his sons. He loved his grandson, Bodhan and we would hear what a great little guy he was and all about his latest achievements.
George- we treasure our memories with you. You will be forever in our hearts. You will never be forgotten.

George was one of the good ones. He was always fun to be around. He had a way of making us feel welcome He was a wonderful story teller who made us feel like we were part of his experiences. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. Every project he got involved with whether work, hobby or play was always done wholeheartedly and quickly. He ran circles around us all! He is and will be sorely missed.
