Gerald D. Weintraub's Obituary
Gerald "Jerry" David Weintraub was born on May 21, 1934 to Irving and Charlotte (Lichtenberg) Weintraub in Brooklyn, New York. He had an older brother Philip who passed away in 2020. He married Deborah Ann Smith, the love of his life, on January 27, 1957. They had 4 children together, Paul (Elizabeth)/ Ellen/ Mark (Elissa)/ and Karen (Scott), with 9 grandchildren (Hannah, Max, Nathan)/(Zoe, Saul)/(Lydia)/(Eli, Sophie, Simon), and 3 great grandchildren (Benjamin, Charlotte, Sienna). This close knit family was his greatest joy. His vocation was stockbroker and financial advisor, his avocations were traveling, humor, squash followed by cycling, and philanthropy. While a proponent of moderation, he lived his life with boundless optimism and kindness. He passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
A graveside service will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery on Sunday, January 19 at 10 am.
