Gideon Feldman's Obituary
Gideon Feldman, passed away unexpectedly on June 6, 2011. He was born on July 16, 1933 in Palestine. He was the beloved son of Judith and Nathan Feldman and brother of Oded Feldman who preceded him in death last month. Gideon was a devoted husband to his wife, Florence Feldman, and caring father of six children, including Ruth (Michael) Van Vleet, Sharon (Mark) St. Peter, Deena Stewart-Hitzke (Robert), Sheree Garcia, Alan Kaye (Kim), and Adam (Beth) Kaye, and twelve grandchildren, including Jacqueline, Daniel, Andrew, Danielle, Patricia, Aaron, Deborah, Rachel, Amelia, Amanda, Jessie, and Jessica. After graduating from Lincoln High in Brooklyn, New York, Gideon answered the call to join the United States Army, where he proudly served for three years. In typical Gideon fashion, he worked hard without complaint as a fireman during the Korean War. After his return to the United States, Gideon and his brother moved to Tucson and opened Arrow Liquors Tucson Home Beverage Delivery. Customers all over Tucson were excited and appreciative to have New York style seltzer prepared fresh and delivered to their doorstep by the brothers. Gideons life changed drastically in 1977 when he was reunited and wed his childhood sweetheart, Florence. After the marriage, Gideon inherited Florences three children, rescuing them from difficult times in Los Angeles. After closing his seltzer business, Gideon went on to work almost two decades for Canteen Corporation, where he made many friends in the community and retired as a distinguished and well respected Supervisor. Gideons warm smile will be missed and he was known for helping others and being actively involved in his neighborhood association. He worked tirelessly to provide and to take good care of his loved ones. Friends and acquaintances are welcome to celebrate his life and join his family for a service at EVERGREEN MORTUARY on Sunday, June 12, 2011, at 1030 AM. Interment will follow in the Congregation Anshei Israel section of EVERGREEN CEMETERY. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY, N. Oracle Rd & W. Miracle Mile.
