Gordon Ray Phillips' Obituary
Phillips, Gordon of Tucson, AZ, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 28th, 2022. He was 70 years old and was listening to the Word as he went just beyond the curtain of time.
Gordon was a true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and the Ministry of Reverend William Branham. He served as a trustee at his church for several years until his career moved him to Texas in 2012.
Born November 30th, 1951, to Leota Francis Phillips and William (Bill) Marion Doyal Phillips in Visalia, California, Gordon was an only child. Gordon followed in his dad's footsteps and developed a work ethic that would carry him through life, always putting the Lord first and working endless hours to support his family, whom he loved and cherished dearly.
His family moved from California to Arkansas, then to Tennessee before following the love of his life Victoria Phillips to Tucson, AZ. Gordon and Victoria exchanged their vows on May 29th, 1970, and were married for 52 years. Gordon and Victoria started their family and raised their children in Tucson. They then moved to Texas before retiring and returning to Tucson in May 2019, his final resting place.
Anyone who knew Gordon knew he had an unwavering love for singing, hunting, fishing, raising bees, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria Phillips; daughter, Elisabeth Clounch and husband, Timothy Clounch; daughter, Jessica VandenBosch and husband, Bryan VandenBosch; grandchildren, Michael Clounch and wife, Kelsey Clounch, Ashley Vandenbosch, and Luke VandenBosch; great-grandchildren; Aubrey Clounch and Maddison Clounch.
A celebration of life will be at Evergreen Mortuary. December 16th, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Voice of God Recordings to sponsor the Agapao tablets. This would be the ultimate tribute and gesture of your love, respect, and condolences to him and the family.
