Although he wasn't necessarily one to go out in it a lot, Dad had a fondness for nature. He especially enjoyed watching birds at the feeder and loved his fishing. He also enjoyed those National Geographic programs that showed "lions and tigers and bears" in their natural environment. He had a soft spot for house cats, and was a great dad to several, in including Pondiki and Ralston, over the years. He also loved the parrots and pups that are a part of his much loved godson Peter's family. Who knew he'd be such a good parrot sitter?
Dad also liked to tell stories of his beloved mom and dad, Eleanor and Harold, and there are many fond memories of their beautifully kept fruit trees and gardens, and the aviary, at their Tucson home.
So it seems fitting to remember Harold with In Lieu of Flowers to either the Tucson Audubon Society or the Arizona Humane Society.
In memorial, we'll also be naming Harold as the steward of a Kino Heritage Fruit Tree, to be planted at the Mission Garden Project in downtown Tucson.
With much love to you, Dad... Diana & Ken
