Dr. Harold H. Kaye's Obituary
Dr. Harold Harry Kaye, 98, of Tucson, died March 30, 2015. Born September 4, 1916 in Bayonne, NJ to Samuel and Marguerite (Stein) Kochansky. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, Goldie Clott Kaye and brother, Dr. Jerome Kaye. Survived by daughters, Andrea Kaye (Stuart Bernard) Shatken and Barbara Kaye (Peter A.) Marx; grandchildren, Laura Marx Klopfer, Lisa Marx Corn, Noah Shatken and Abby Shatken Chargo; great-grandchildren, Jacob Marx Klopfer, Jordan Ann Shatken, Elliot Sam Shatken, Emily Rina Chargo and Lev Simon Chargo. Dr. Kaye served as a Captain in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945 at the 57th Field Hospital. He graduated from Bayonne High School, received his B.S. and DDS from the University of Michigan. Dr. Kaye was a member of the Lion’s Club for over 60 years, served as Verona Chapter President, President of Eyemobile and received the President’s Appreciation Award and received the Melvin Jones Fellow award for his service and also a member of the Jewish War Veterans and the Tucson Jewish Community Center. Dr. Kaye’s hobbies included playing golf and attending the theatre. Chapel service 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 1, 2015, EVERGREEN MORTUARY, with Rabbi Stephanie Aaron officiating. Interment to follow in the Chaverim section of Evergreen Cemetery. The family request donations be made to the Lions Club Eye Bank or the Jewish War Veterans.
