Harold Leinwand's Obituary
Harold Leinwand, 95, passed away on March 14, 2015 at Oro Valley Hospital. Harold grew up in New York City where he graduated from City College of New York. A short time later he joined the Army and served during World War II. Upon leaving the Army, Harold rejoined the accounting firm he left prior to the war and became a CPA. In 1959 he joined Jaymar Ruby in Michigan City, Indiana where he was the CFO. He retired from Jaymar in 1987. While living in Indiana, Harold was active in various charitable organizations and active in the Synagogue, Sinai Temple. Harold stayed active after retirement, moving to the Tucson area in 1989 to be near his grandchildren. He was involved with several groups, his greatest joy being his involvement in the Great Decisions group.
Harold was preceded in death by his beloved wife Vicki who passed away in 1991, a year shy of their 50th anniversary. He was lucky enough to find another person to love who he is survived by, Harriet Wassner Leinwand. They celebrated 21 years together. Harold is also survived by his daughter Shelley Bernheim and her husband Ed, son Jeffrey Leinwand and his wife Linda, step daughter Lisa Baget and her husband Andre, grandchildren Darrell Leinwand, Jonathan Leinwand, Bryan Leinwand, Jesse Baget, and great grandchildren (Darrell and Laura) Myles and Miya, (Jonathan and Rhonda) Abby, Micah, Landon, Hudson, (Bryan and Kristi) Ava and Allison.
