Harvey Bart's Obituary
Harvey Bart, born in 1937, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, surrounded by his family. Born and raised in New York, Harvey met the love of his life, Sheila, at a high school social event. They were married for 65 years, building a beautiful life together. Harvey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
In his early years, Harvey was an entrepreneur who owned and operated a successful silk screen company in New York. In 1975, seeking new opportunities, he and Sheila moved their young family to Tucson, AZ, where Harvey became a partner with his brother, Roy, in another successful printing business, which they ran for over a decade. At the age of 50, Harvey made a career change, becoming an accomplished financial planner and stockbroker with A.G. Edwards, where he worked until his retirement.
Harvey is survived by his loving family: his wife, Sheila Bart; his daughter, Aimee (Jeff) Coleman; his son, Mitchell (Michele) Bart; his grandchildren, Heather (John) Rosinbum, Erica (Jon) Rankin, Kirsten Olivarez McGuire, and Andon Bart; and his four great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, always reminding his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren that they were his greatest pride and the legacy he was most proud to leave behind.
Following Harvey’s wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in memory of Harvey Bart to Peppi’s House, the Hospice Center at Tucson Medical Center (TMC), which provided exceptional care to Harvey and his family in his final days.
Harvey’s warmth, entrepreneurial spirit, and devotion to his family will be greatly missed.
Donations can be made in Harvey’s memory to Peppi’s House through the TMC Foundation, either online or by mail. Please ensure the gift is designated to Peppi’s House and note that it is in memory of Harvey Bart.
