Harvey Paul Heyde, Sr.'s Obituary
Harvey P. Heyde, Sr., 87, of Tucson, died August 11, 2013. Formerly of St. Louis, MO was born in Abilene, Texas to Herbert Paul & Lelia Pearl Heyde. He joined the U.S. Merchant Marines at the age of 16. After his WWII service, he owned and operated Heyde Sewing Machine Company. His entrepreneurial spirit led to creating many successful enterprises in the St. Louis area. Preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy L. Heyde and sons Warren Phillip Heyde and Dean Julian Heyde. Survived by sons David P. (Maria) Heyde of Tucson, Harvey P. (Kyunga) Heyde, Jr. and Christopher R. (Lisa) Heyde of CA; and 8 grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday, August 15, 2013, 9:30 AM at EVERGREEN MORTUARY. Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, with military honors. Friends may call Wednesday, 5 to 7 PM at EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Salvation Army or Disabled American Veterans.
