Henry Lee Showers' Obituary
Henry Lee Showers, born and raised in Tucson on May 4, 1924 and died in Tucson June 12, 2013. Beloved husband of Lois Showers for 64 years; devoted father of Roger Showers, Donna Showers Belcher, Nancy Showers Achilles and Carrie Showers Risner; cherished grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by son Jon H. Showers. Henry Showers served in the US Navy on the USS Pennsylvania in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. He retired from the U.S. Air Force and Navy in 1970 after 27 years of combined military service. Graveside Service Tuesday, June 18, 2013, 9:00 A.M. at Evergreen Cemetery, with military honors by DMAFB Honor Guard. Visitation Monday 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
