Ian J Kalman's Obituary
Ian J. Kalman was born in Chicago, IL November 1942 to Ethel and Leo Kalman who has predeceased him. Ian was the middle of 3 children and grew up in the retail and wholesale business. His family ended up as award winning sales representatives; complimented for several years by 2 national medical centers and United Jewish Appeal. He lived in Chicago, Los Angeles, Scottsdale, and Tucson throughout his life. Ian was active in the Jewish Singles Group, hosting events to help people feel comfortable. He was know for being warm, friendly, and a generous person always helping people when he could. He was also known for his social and Greek dancing displayed at Greek nightclubs in Los Angeles, where he resided for more then 20 years. Ian had an extensive music collection, especially the international music group of Jewish, Greek, Latin, French, and Balkan; along with the Jewish comedian collections of over 800 LP's, plus CDs, and cassettes. He loved to share his favorite Jewish music with people he met throughout the cities he resided in. Ian lived his life with random acts of kindness from all walks of life. He was very spiritual and intuitive which helped him socially and in business. He enjoyed attending Friday evening services in his adult life. He was very proud of his art collection too.
A memorial service will be held at Temple Emanu-El, 225 N Country Club, Tucson , AZ 85716
