Imogene Mead, born in Blountsville, AL on November 2, 1924 and passed away in Tucson, AZ on October 19, 2016 surrounded by family. Reunited with husband, Major; children Sonny and Patricia, great-grandchild Andrew. Survived by daughter Judy; daughter-in-law Rosa; grandchildren Robbie, Tina, Bryan, Lisa, Amanda, Sydney; great-grandchildren Shay, Madison, Cassia, Joshua, Abiela, Crystal, Scottie. Also survived by sisters Earnestene Gray, Audrey Carlisle, brother M.C. Davis, all of whom reside in Alabama, as well as other countless relatives and friends. Imogene was selfless and dedicated her life to the Lord, family and friends. She professed a hope in early life and was a lifelong Baptist. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and humble demeanor. Knowing her meant to be welcomed into her home, a delicious home cooked meal and great company. Beautiful on the outside and inside, she loved fashion and was always well accessorized. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 25 at Evergreen Mortuary & Cemetery, burial immediately following. May God’s loving spirit fill the vacancy in the hearts of her family to whom she was so faithful to the end.
