Irma Virginia Parra Vega's Obituary
Irma Virginia Parra Vega, raised in Douglas, but best known in Bisbee as an active member of the community, died peacefully in Tucson, AZ, October 30, 2021. She raised six children, Laszlo, Luis, Latricia "Trish," Lizbeth, Lena, and Lawrence, all living in Tucson. Through her children, Irma had 11 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. she is survived by her sisters Lucy Sanchez and Lupita Parra.
During her residence in Bisbee, Irma worked at Brehm's Jewelry store, Bisbee Blue Turquoise, the Sears Delivery Outlet, and as a Bilingual Teacher's Aide at Greenway School, where she was lovingly called Miss Irma. Irma was beloved by the many children she coached in Pee Wee and Little League baseball and volunteered as a dug-out Mom and a board member for the Bobby Sox softball league. She also helped to organize fundraisers for St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Kiwanis, as well as other non-profit organizations.
A Mass for Irma will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 20, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 601 E. Ft. Lowell Rd in Tucson (85705).
