Dear Marsha and family,

Thinking so much about Jack and your family. What a pioneer and visionary. ALERT provided me with the best job ever, it was a close knit group that was very supportive. I have so many great Jack memories. I was hiking at Herron after I heard of his passing, that’s actually the last time I saw you and Jack thinking about all those times. I was laughing and had this overall body smile as I contemplated memory after memory. Jack sure made a positive influence in our world thank you for sharing him and supporting him. Please let me know when his celebration of life is. Oh and what a fantastic job on his obituary. Very special!

I had the good fortune to work with Jack on several projects sponsored by the American College of Cardiology. I remember his enthusiasm, his vitality, his broad understanding of issues, his "smarts", and his ability to interact with folks from other backgrounds in a collegial and effective manner. I was lucky to visit Jack in Kalispell and to participate as a faculty member in continuing medical education courses that he helped to organize. Some may have viewed Jack as a simple "country cardiologist", but I always thought of him as a bright, inquisitive student of our field who was skillful at balancing a practical approach to caring for patients in the community with an academic understanding of complex issues.

I'm sad to hear of Jack's passing, but glad to know that he had a long, meaningful, and "rich" life - in the best sense of that word. Rest in Peace, Jack. My condolences to Marsha and the Davis family.

I have never read such a loving farewell you wrote ,Kimberly, for your father. You have described in such detail everything we could remember about Jack and all his contributions to medicine in Flathead Valley but beyond. Also you made us see the man he was to his family and friends. Thank you for sharing these words to a remarkable man.
