James Robert Lee's Obituary
James “Jaime” Robert Lee was able to “shuffle off this mortal coil” in the early morning of April 14, 2019 after completing 66 trips around the sun. His spirit was released from its tortured and invaded shell of a body and is now exploring the universe in search of the answers that his ever-inquiring mind was always curious about.
He was survived by his “bradah” Kenneth (Theresa), daughter Jennifer (#1 son-in-law Steven), “favored son” Max (Matteo), “favored child and fur baby” Skippy; his beloved baby mama Dana; two granddaughters Sophia and Sierra; nieces Rita, Anisa, and Reanna; nephews Ricky and Robbie; and numerous cousins that he loved and adored.
James was preceded in death by his father Ricardo, mother (whom he lovingly nursed till her death) Delia, and sister Lorraine.
He was born in Tucson, Arizona on April 6, 1953. He always dreamed of becoming a rock-and-roll bassist for a hit band. While he was able to co-star in blockbuster films such as Tank Girl with Lori Petty and Ingenious with Jeremy Renner, he settled for a life of dental hygiene. He eventually gave that up to work for the federal government as an undercover agent that investigated some of the world’s greatest conspiracies. Tired of having to keep his findings top-secret, he went to work for the Tucson Public Library where he was finally able to serve and share his knowledge with numerous patrons.
He had a life-long love affair with classic rock music, U of A basketball, cappuccinos, madeleine cookies (or anything that was sweet for that matter), Dos XX beer that was thrown in the freezer for a bit, casinos, and of course his 2013 black Ford Mustang.
In lieu of flowers, we’d like to say to consider a donation for pancreatic cancer research but since he was pretty sure there is a big-pharma conspiracy to keep the cure away from the public, we are kindly asking that you instead consider a donation to the amazing Casa de la Luz Hospice Foundation at www.casafoundation.org/ways-to-give/donations.
His family welcomes all of his extended family, friends, and colleagues to a memorial service at Evergreen Mortuary and Cemetery located on 3015 North Oracle Road on Monday April 29, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. Informal graveside gathering and reception to follow.
