I wish you could’ve seen me at prom dad, oh I know you would’ve cried like no other grown man has ever. You would’ve been so proud at the women I am becoming. You’re missing so many memories I wish you could be here to see, like me getting my permit, or going to prom. Or for you too be here when I get married to walk me down the aisle, but I know for every single one of those things you were there in spirit.
Your little girl misses you, I miss you more than anything in the world it’s been so many years since you’ve been gone and not once has it ever felt real that my dead is truthfully dead. I always hope one day you will open my door and you will be standing there waiting for me to run and hug you. Being about to hear you call me squish, and for you too hug my one last time, I would give absolutely anything to be able to do that one last time. I got a boyfriend dad, I think you would like him even tho you would act like you didn’t, he treats me amazing that I don’t think you could not like him. I miss you dad so much I wish you could be here to watch me to grow into the women I am today I love you so much, I am going to be a freshman here in a just couple weeks and it’s still hard to think you won’t be here to watch me go through school and see me at my graduation but there will always be an open spot at every event
