James H. McCown's Obituary
James H. McCown, 93, long time resident of Tucson, passed away October 8, 2013. James was born in Amarillo, Texas, son of the late Clyde and Bertha (Brown) McCown. During WW II he served proudly with the US Air Force. James is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Mary Ruth (Pennington) McCown; two beloved daughters, Yvonne Bramlett of Tucson and Carol (Danny) Engelhart of Baton Rouge, LA; two step daughters, Cathy and Linda. He was so proud of his six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, James Howard of Florida and two brothers and a sister. James was a Member of Aaron Lodge #49, F & AM, and Sabbar Shrine Temple both located in Tucson. The family wishes to convey their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Casa de La Luz Hospice for their exceptional care.
