James William Morton's Obituary
James William Morton Born April 4, 1937 and passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014 after a valiant battle with Alzheimer Disease. Jim is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Sheila Morton; his three children, Terry Morton of San Diego, CA (Lisa Loos); Maureen (Morton) Strickland of Tacoma, WA and Maggie Morton of Tucson (Erik Brown); and two granddaughters, Courtney and Meghan Strickland. Jim lived a long life of service to his fellow man as a police officer, first in Lombard, IL, then with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. He was husband, father, son, brother, grandpa, friend, and mentor to so many. He was an accountant, he was a carpenter, he was intelligence personified. He was equally as gentle as he was strong. He will be sorely missed. His service is scheduled for Friday, April 25, 2014 at The Evergreen Mortuary Chapel, 3015 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ at 3:30 p.m. All are welcome to this celebration of his life.
