Jamie Lynn McMillan's Obituary
Jamie Lynn McMillan died in Tucson on August 27, 2012 after a short illness. She was born January 18, 1942 in Chicago, IL; daughter of Samuel C. and Louise Littlefield McMillan. She grew up in Storrs, Connecticut where she graduated from E.O. Smith High School. She moved to Tucson with her family in 1960 and graduated from the University of Arizona where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She married Charles E. Cook in 1966; they were later divorced. Jamie was a career teacher in TUSD junior and senior high schools. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Cook; granddaughter Casandra Tomlinson of Tucson; and her sister Janet McMillan Rives of Tucson and Iowa. Jamie leaves many friends from her years in Storrs and Tucson. She will be remembered fondly for her intellect, wit, passion and compassion. The family wishes to thank Casa de la Luz Hospice, Casa de los Abuelos Adult Care Home and above all, Colunba Huaraque for the loving care she gave Jamie in her last months. The family will schedule a private graveside service. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY.
