Janet E. Averill's Obituary
AVERILL, JANET E. 72, of Tucson, AZ. entered into eternal peace Wednesday, April 19, 2018. Janet was born in Albany, NY, daughter of the late Benjamin Creighton and Dorothy (Tinker) Hastings. Janet resided in Connecticut for several years before relocating to Arizona 24 years ago. Friends and family will remember Janet most for her crocheting and fine needle work. Janet loved to spend time with her family, but her biggest joy was spent traveling and the time spent camping together.
Janet is survived by her husband of 37 years, Frederick W. Averill, Sr., her sons Roger Butler of East Windsor, CT. and Raymond Butler (Lori) of Enfield, CT., a stepson Frederick W. Averill, Jr. of Cincinnati, OH.
Janet also leaves behind two brothers, Warren Hastings (Patricia), and Roger Hastings of Appomattox, VA, eight nieces and nephews, and her best friend, Little Bit.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 4–8 PM at Evergreen Mortuary (N Oracle & W Miracle Mile).
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 in Evergreen Cemetery.
