Janet Wroe Doughty's Obituary
Janet Wroe Doughty, 87, of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of Fordsville, Kentucky, went home on Thursday, February 19, at the Park Avenue Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born December 20, 1927, in Ohio County, Kentucky, the daughter of Kenneth and Jessie May (Parton) Wroe.
Mrs. Doughty assisted her husband in his commercial art business. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Tucson at which she was a greeter and helped with the church newsletter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert D; her son Robert Allen; five brothers, Milton (Edna), George (Mary), Kenneth Jr., Walter, and Jessie; three sisters Elton (Calvin) Chancellor and Dorothy (Paul) Turner, and Irene Wroe; a nephew, George, II.
She is survived by her sister Cathryn (Neville) Green of Fordsville, Kentucky; her grandson, Robert
Shumann (location not known), four nephews, Byron Moxley of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Darrell
Chancellor of Hermitage, Tennessee, James (Cheryl) Wroe and John (Cindy) Wroe of Akron, Ohio; five nieces, Joyce (John, deceased) Starkey of Akron, Ohio, Sandra (Terry Millis) Wroe of Ft. Worth, Texas, Sharon (Mike) Jonas of Valparaiso, Indiana, Denise Hopson of Houston, Texas, and Beth (Terry) Hudspeth of Centertown, Kentucky, plus many great nephews and great nieces.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Evergreen Mortuary in Tucson, Arizona. Pastor Jeff Kallevig, Senior Pastor, Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, officiated. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Tucson.
