Jason Michael Muñoz, age 41, passed away on January 9, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona. He was born on July 13, 1984, and lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, and a deep love for his son, family and friends.
Jason was a devoted son, father, brother and grandson. He is survived by his beloved son, Jason Muñoz Jr., who was the pride and joy of his life. He also leaves behind his loving parents, John Muñoz and Dorie Muñoz ; his cherished grandmother, Gladys Muñoz ; his brother, Chris Muñoz ; and his sister, Jade Tomlin. Jason is further survived by his niece, nephew and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and is preceded in death by his brother, John Scott Muñoz.
Well known in his community, Jason was a skilled HVAC craftsman who took great pride in his work. He was respected by his coworkers not only for his technical ability, but for his reliability, integrity, and willingness to step in whenever someone needed help.
Outside of work, Jason was an avid fisherman, finding peace and joy on the water—an activity that reflected his patient, grounded nature.
Jason will be remembered most for his infectious smile and his generous heart. He was the kind of person who never hesitated to lend a hand, whether to family, friends, or anyone in need. Making sure the people he cared about were taken care of was simply who he was. His kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Though his life was far too short, Jason Muñoz’s impact was immeasurable. He leaves behind a legacy of love, selflessness, and quiet strength that will continue to live on through his son and all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
