Jean C. Aberman's Obituary
Jean Aberman, 86, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 5th, after a short stay at Peppi’s House Hospice in Tucson. She spent her last week surrounded by the family she loved more than anything in this world. She was born Jean Francis Cohen, the daughter of Carl David and Estre Cohen of Gary, Indiana. Jean met the love of her life and married Myles “Buddie” Aberman at the age of twenty-one. Bud and Jean celebrated their sixty-fifth anniversary last June. Bud was there holding her hand as she took her last breath. Bud and Jean owned and operated the family business, Comay’s Jewelers, located in Northwest Indiana for thirty years before moving to Tucson where they opened with their daughter, ' Jean and Barb,’ a women’s casual clothing boutique.
Jean is survived by her son; William Aberman and his wife Andrea, daughter; Barbara Gould and her husband John, grandchildren; Michael (Krista) Neuman and Daniel (Tonya) Neuman, and Jordan, Kerry (Jim) Stapley , and Maxwell Aberman.
Jean was a loving and unconditionally supportive wife, mother and grandmother. A woman who was never without lipstick and earrings. Jean cared deeply for her fellow man, and was a friend who could be counted on to be there when you needed her. She loved nature; forever finding beauty in the world around her, and she loved dogs, time spent with family, and her vodka and tonic. Jean will be sorely missed, but all who knew her are better for her acquaintance.
