Jerry Snyder's Obituary
Jerome Allen “Jerry” Snyder was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 14, 1937 and passed away in Tucson, AZ on December 12, 2015 from a massive stroke. Jerry graduated from Tucson High School, class of 1955. He graduated from the University of Louisville and then was employed by the Social Security Administration where he spent his entire working life. He married Barbara Ziblat on August 22, 1963. She survives him, as do his nephew, Binyamin Snyder of Jerusalem, Israel, his brother-in-law, Alan Ziblat, of Tucson, and his sister-in-law, Marna Snyder of Jerusalem. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Dora Snyder, and his brother, Stanley Snyder. Jerry was short in stature but his character and his love and devotion for his family and friends reach beyond the sky. He loved to read, especially mysteries and military histories. He loved to square dance and he loved to cook. His life was a blessing to everyone who knew him. May his memory be a blessing to us forever. Services will be held 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at EVERGREEN MORTUARY CHAPEL, N. Oracle Rd. & W. Miracle Mile, www.evergreen-tucson.com, followed by a reception at the Old Pueblo Dance Center. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory can be made to the Community Food Bank www.communityfoodbank.org
