Jesus Arthur Apodaca's Obituary
Jesus Arthur Apodaca,70, passed away March 27, 2026.
Our beloved brother, son, father, tio, and grandfather, Jesus “Chuy” Arthur Apodaca, was a friend to all and invited anyone and everyone to the party. He never met a stranger he didn’t like. His parents, Hector and Adelina Apodaca, welcomed their youngest son into the world on October 6, 1955. Born in San Manuel, Arizona, he was raised in a small, tight-knit mining community. Chuy was a third-generation miner and took pride in instructing newcomers on safety while working underground.
He will be remembered as someone who had a zest for life, no matter the odds. Chuy loved his family and friends and kept his daughters close to his heart. He was a loyal fan of his beloved LV Raiders to the end. Although he experienced much tragedy throughout his life, he didn’t let that define him and began each morning by thanking God, grateful for a new day.
Sadly, Chuy lost his battle with cancer on March 27, 2026. He is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Hortencia, mother to his two daughters, Adelina and Analeigha, along with his grandchildren, Aliah and Byhron.
Gone too soon, but his memory will be cherished always.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 3nd from 3:00pm - 6:00pm at 1270 West Panorama Road, Tucson, AZ 85704.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Evergreen Mortuary, 3015 N Oracle Rd., Tucson, Arizona (520-888-7470).
