Jewell F. Truett's Obituary
Jewell Truett, 89, of Tucson, Arizona passed away on October 24th, 2015. She is survived by her two sons David (Karen) and Kenneth (Carol) Truett. She is preceded in death by her husband Orlin and grandson Nicolas Truett. Jewell met the love of her life Orlin and they got married in the 1942. Their love remained strong for the next 42 years until Orlin passed away in 1984. Orlin served in the U.S Air Force which gave Jewell and their two sons opportunities to see the world being stationed in placed such as Guam, England, Morocco and numerous places in the U.S. Though Jewell did not complete high school, she did return to college and completed her credits to obtain an Associate’s Degree. Jewell was very active in volunteer work and volunteered over 6,000 hours. She was very involved working with Hospices all over Tucson, the V.A Hospital and St. Mary’s. She loved going to the Golden Corral for lunch and enjoyed going to thrift stores collecting various items. She will truly be missed by her friends and family.
