John Richard Hammond's Obituary
John "Dick" Hammond, husband, father, WWII veteran, and missionary, went home to heaven on Wednesday at the age of 92. He was surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Velma; sons, Nathan (Shalom) Hammond, Daniel (Christen) Hammond; daughters, Deborah (Ronald) Glasscock, Ruth (Robert) Asher, Sarah (Russ) Wind; a brother, Robert Hammond; 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark Hammond, a daughter, Rebecca Hammond, and a granddaughter, Rebekah Ray. Preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers. Graveside service, Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 9:00 A.M.at Evergreen Cemetery.
